Eduardo was also donated to our therapy program by Columbia Mist Alpacas of Woodland, WA in 2011. Although Eduardo was born with a very touchable and people-friendly personality, he is still new to venturing out alone away from the herd, and so we are in the process of training him for therapy use. Our training process will involve taking him out frequently to various environments, having him wear a pack and other items on his head and legs, going for rides to the park, walking in parades, and entering in the show ring at our local county fair. We also have various places that we have visited with our other animals that allow us to bring our “trainees” so that they can gain some experience in a therapeutic environment. We can hardly wait for everyone to meet Eduardo, as he is a very sweet and special little guy!
